City of Henderson Employee Wellness Center

The City of Henderson recently launched its Employee Wellness Center on May 25, 2023.

The Wellness Center was created to gather caring, competent medical providers in one convenient location to deliver efficient medical services to potential and existing employees. Previously, the City used multiple occupational medical vendors to provide employment-related medical services. With our new center, candidates in the process of being hired can now complete many of their onboarding requirements at the wellness center. Employees can attend nutrition summits and join support groups, as well as receive many necessary occupational and mental health services at this one location. 

Some examples of the services that the center offers are: 

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: 

• Pre-employment / Post Offer testing and evaluation Services
• Medical baseline occupational evaluation services
• Work Related Vaccination Services
• Hearing Tests for those in the Hearing Conservation Program
• Occupational evaluation and treatment services
• Respiratory Fit Testing (for those required by the job)

      For Police and Fire: 

• Occupational evaluation and treatment services
• Behavioral Health Assessments
• Annual Heart and Lung evaluations
• Vision testing services
• Pulmonary Function Evaluation and Testing
• Respiratory Fit Testing

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS

• On-staff mental health support (assessment and referral)
• Vitanya Brain Performance Program (for public safety positions)
• Resiliency and Wellness training events
• Brooklyn, the Wellness Facility Dog
